The big day has arrived and our CNC is finally here! For those of you who don’t know what the big deal is, here’s the scoop.
CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control and put simply, a CNC machine is a giant robot that has the capacity to do a multitude of things extremely well. It is a machining process that involves using pre-programmed software to dictate the movement of a giant router attached to a gantry. The machine can move in 3 axes and has the ability to engrave and cut just about any shape you can imagine.
As you can see from the pictures, we’ve been playing a little bit. What this means for the future of Two Birds is that we can now offer large scale custom engraving and our door design capabilities have just gotten a whole lot bigger!
